The main objective of the journal Estudios sobre Educación is to contribute to the dissemination of the growing number of original research results, both theoretical and experimental, carried out in Spain and in other countries, especially Latin American and southern Europe. The journal addresses the various fields of Educational Sciences, with a special focus on the following areas:

• fundamentals of Education,
• character and citizenship,
• good practices in educational intervention, and
• quality and innovation in teacher training.

The articles published in Estudios sobre Educación are indexed in important scientific databases. These include Web of Science (ESCI) and Scopus/SJR.

In 2016, we obtained the Quality Seal of Spanish Scientific Journals granted by the FECYT (Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology). This seal has been renewed in successive editions.

Each volume is published in a printed version and in an electronic version with free access.
