Applications of polarography to diagnosis. II. Mechanism of the production of the polarographic wave in physiological solutions

Abstract
The production of the polarographic wave in physiological Solutions and the influence thereon of divers concentrations of glutathione and cystine have been studied. The mineral salts of physiological Solutions as wcll as glucose were found to have no influence on the double polarographic wave and only slightly reduced the maximum of cobalt. Neither glutation nor cystine modified the forin of prenatrium in the simple fundamental solution, but the cobalt máximum was reduced and raunded up by them. For alike glutathione concentrations the reduction of the máximum was less intens in the experiments with Thyrode than in those with cobalt-hexamine alone.
