Abstract

176
We present, as an introduction to this issue, information that will help to frame the comparative study of the philosophical proposals of Xavier Zubiri and Polo. We will demonstrate the influence on both thinkers of the currents of renewal of the first third of the 20th century, and the interest of both of them in continuing, and at the same time renewing, the philosophical thought that had come before, always in dialogue with the classical tradition. We will also describe the particular manners of reception of their philosophies, as well as certain intellectual interests, common to both, concerning the problem of God, creation and the person and her transcendence.
