This paper consist in two parts. The first section analyzes the anthropological roots of economy from the point of view of Leonardo Polo´s anthropology. By distinguishing between act of being (person) and essence (I-faculties) in the man, it exposes the capital characteristics of human person and of the human essence, and the relationship of the economy and those characteristics. The second section approaches the corporation, the basic unit of social economy, and the main traits of the businessman and of the workers, besides the sense of propriety. This paper concludes that man is able of giving because he is an unrestricted gift.
