Abstract

476
“The just community” is a proposal made by Kohlberg to favor moral reasoning of conflict situations present in school life. This article focuses on the philosophical and educational approaches present in “the just community”. These educational approaches are centred in one direction: The autonomous moral reasoning of the individual. In “the just community”, humans rights are taken as points of reference to get a balanced relation between individual and society. In the school context it would be a balanced relation between students and teachers, and between students themselves. To conclude we propose the possibility of a distinction between a “just community” and an “educational community”. The educational implications of this distinction will be taken into account in our study
