Abstract

The products resulting of the depolymerization of yeast RNA by the action of the Pleospora-induced ribonuclease have been studied by means of thin layer chromatogiaphy on PEI-cellulose plates. The fonnation of adenosine 2’,3 cyclic monophosphate and guanosin 2’,3' cyclic monophosphate as the only intermediary produets of the reaction has been shown. No analogous compounds which bear a pyrimidine base have been detected.
