On the toxicity of hexachlorocyclolkexanes

Abstract
The toxicity of a high insecticide power mixture of isomers of the hexachlorocyclohexane (benzene hexachloride or 666 for short), specially obtained by a new method, was tested in jung rats of distinc weights and essential differences of individual resistance were observed, which are in concordance of the divergences between the experimental data of other writers.
By means of comparative experiments of the toxicity of this above mentioned mixture, the contents of gamma isomer of same is nearly deteminated and the ’great differences of the toxicity of the corresponding isomers is assumed to be dependant on differences of liposolubility in connection with melting point values.
