Educating Humility during Adolescence
Main Article Content
Abstract
The aim of this article is to put forward suggestions for educating the virtue of humility in adolescence. We analyze the proposal of June Tangney, who distinguishes six traits that we have grouped into the inner dimension, related to self-knowledge, and the outer dimension referring to the relationship with others and with the universe. These six elements are analyzed in a different order for educational intervention in the classroom. The educational strategies outlined can serve as a reference to facilitate the acquisition of humility, which implies the improvement of interpersonal relationships and self-knowledge.
