Study on the behavior of chromogenic substrates for phosphatases, according to the pH of the medium

Abstract

A comparativa study is made on the phosphatasic hydrolysis of the phosphoric ester of 4,4’-amidosulphonylbenzene-azo-phenol under the action of acid phosphatase of the bran wheat, as same as the phosphathasic hy drolysis of the barium methoxyphenolphtalein phosphate under the action of alkaline phosphatase of dog intestine.

Following others similar studies previously accomplished by the author, all the observed facts are reported with the Chemical constitution of the phosphoric esters acting as substrate, specially in connection with the catalytic influence of the pH of the médium on the stability of the sames.
