Abstract

In previous papers the author has studied the plasmatic disprotidaemias in several leucosis, measuring the reactivity of amino- terminal groups of proteins, on the basis of Chemical kinetics, and utilizing as reagents the diazonium chlorides of alpha-aminoanthraquinone and anthranilic acid, but specially the first one, as consequence of his high and very accurate sensibility. The results obtained are expressed in the coupling and inactivation indexes, according to time and the corresponding optical density (5).

In the human myeloid leukemia, the low values of our coupling indexes were in contrast to the high ones obtained in cases of the different lymphoid leucosis previously studied (7).

In the present paper, the influence of normal human gamma globuline on the coupling indexes is studied, showing an important partial inhibition when gamma globuline is present in the process. A similar influence is observed on enzymatic hydrolysis of sodium phenylphosphate by alkaline phosphatase.

This partial inhibition is explained assuming that the pro- tein amino active groups are blocked in the presence of gamma globuline. The nature of this blocking action and of the molecu lar protein compounds formed, is related by the author to the increase of the nucleoprotein metabolism by tumoral cells, these increase taking place, by consequence, in all cases of high and low values of the coupling indexes studied.

The liver content of normal and leucosic hen in RNA is compared. A clear increase of RNA in leucosic liver is obser ved. This last shows too the most high valúes of coupling and inactivation indexes, wich enables the assumption that the nor mal and leucosic RNA are quite different, the last showing as constituents more amino active groups (from adenine, guanine and citosine rests), than the first.
