Sympathomimetic E in splenic blood during haemorrhage and asphyxia

Abstract
Determinations of sympatin in the blood of splenic veins are realized, as per the technique of Euler, in relation to asphyxia and hemorrhage. An increase is observed in these conditions. Such an increase of concentration seems to be sufficient to bring about hormonal effects of an adrenergic character in the remaining organism. The experiments have been carried out in anaesthesized dogs.
