Staining of erythroid cells with tetrabromo- meta-cresolsulfophthalein

Abstract
The dye is dissolved to saturation in absolute alcohol and this solution is mixed-with en equal volume of 0,1 M monosodic phosphate. The extension of blood or bone marrow is bathed with this liquid for 5 to 10 minutes, and dried with a curren of air without previous washing. The excess of reagent in the preparation thus dried is eliminated by rapid washing with alcohol and afterwards water.
